Childhood At Village
*************************************
What can
hold out half of my heart?
Is it my
birth place or working spot?
Childhood
memories green & fresh
Jumping from
tree or winning race
Swam in my
village pond,like a swan
At times
caught fish like a fisherman
Walked many
miles to see crop land
Caught
dragonflies & played in sand
Visited I
village fair with my father
All the
peasants were in good attire
Some offered
fruits & some sweets
Uncle,aunt
& brother offered me seats
Festival of
colours & festival of rain
Swings of
the Raja is joy of heaven
Sister's
bhalukuni & raksha vandhan
Made my
heart dance in joy so often
Sailed my
paper boat under a eaves
When it
rained and frogs left grieves
Falling of
rain drop on pumpkin leaf
Over thatched
roofs to sing in brief
Cakes &
sweets along many edibles
Made mother
at home of variables
Burning of
earthen lamp in evenings
Before the
gods after all our doing
