There is no end to this tragedy
The world stands still
Acutely aware of the horrors
Chronically stunned by fear
It is not a story from the movies
It is a horrific theatre of death
Women and children bombarded
Men pinned down in some death traps
The battleground is both real and
unreal
Real in all senses of the word
Unrealistic in its catastrophic
destruction of reason
It is a massacre of unimaginable
proportions
But the world watches from its
anesthezed position
A nation is suffocated by the hands
of power
Quivering in pain, breathless and
tormented
It is a monument of disaster
An exposition of pure terror
Life will never be the same
There is no end to this tragedy
It is just beginning to unfold
Unfortunately, the world is frozen
in powerlessness
Unable to defrost the scale of
horror
The unimaginable atrocities that are
coming
Are already haunting our collective
consciousness
Our pysche will be scarred for
generations to come
It is the cost of this horrible show
of death
