Snowfall Poem

Please to come in and rest awhile
And sip some coffee or tea;
Snow will pale in the warmth of your smile
And our joy in company.
What memories we'll share anew,
Though wind howls through cracked trees!
For times spent with friends who stay true
Are like a summer breeze.
So please come in from the storm outside:
I've shoveled the path in good faith;
And though life's chilling ice spreads wide,
Here you are home and safe.
