When a Firefly Dies *A poem by poet_knight12*
When a firefly dies
He goes out without saying goodbye
As he was tired from hiding lies
From everyone around him, he cries
Hidden inside a jar
He travelled many places that are far
Moving from place to place that were truly bizarre
Tiring the firefly, which left an enormous scar
He screamed and pleaded for those nearby
Ignored by people that dropped by and said hi
Tiny little insect that could no longer fly
With no captured attention, he finally dies
