BRIEF HISTORY OF NIGERIA:
O! People come and hear the history of
Nigeria.
Who ever ask you, where are you from?
just say I am from Nigeria.
Many used to asked, whereNigeria is
located and what is the meaning of Nigeria;
Tell them, it's a country located in the
western part of Africa, called Nigeria.
It's British colonial masters that named
it in 1900, Nigeria.
They named it after river Niger a big
river that cross Nigeria.
It falls into Atlantic ocean from
Nigeria.
We gain our independence in 1960, as a
republic of Nigeria.
It's flag is green, white and green.
These are the colours of the flag of Nigeria.
It's people are cultural and industrious,
for the greater and unity of Nigeria.
The major tribes are: Hausa in the
northern part, Igbo in the eastern part and Yoruba in the western Nigeria.
Major occupations of the people of
Nigeria are: Farming, rearing of animals, mining, trade and commerce.
