Dusmanta Choudhury
Her Eyes Were Covered
Found her in a vernal shower
Full of wisdom in loving sphere
So sweet so soft was her word
That has made me forget my road
Sylvan was the path I walk
Dangled flowers from the stalk
Looked she in her innocent grace
As if the sky has a tilting face
Covered a love's layer on her eyes
Made her blind to behold the rise
Left she all that she had in store
Either all earthly or the devine
lore
All that is best in the heart of a
life
Aired she so swiftly against a
strife
Upon her brow the deep dark line
Brought to mind a dark cloud shrine
Danced the peacock of mind in joy
As if the dazzling globe was a coy
One eye is up and another is down
Emerged she oft wearing a crown
