MIGRANTS
UNHEARED LAMENTS
I feel
emotion and anguish
just to
look, with anger,
the water of
the coast
blush
of the blood of unfortunate people,
still
prisoners
trapped over
there
in a dark
background.
I hear
desperate cries
and shrill
moans
of poor
children
that could never imagine
such a cruel
fate.
From the
depths of a sea
darkened,
comes a loud
cry of pain
of an
unbelieving child,
in a tremulous voice:
What have I
ever done
so serious
to deserve
an unjust and bitter punishment?
Right after
the entry
of a
desperate mother:
It's not at
all easy to understand
if these
unfortunate pains,
they have
never tried
for those
who live in places
where even
nothing
it has more
value.
Because no
one listens anymore
the gentle
rustle
of baleful
and lugubrious laments?
