As the poet Catullo repeated
Stefano Capasso
The most frequent theme in
the verses of the great Veronese poet is certainly the love for his woman,
Clodia whom he called Lesbia, as well as disdainful verses against rampant
political corruption
He belonged to an important family of Verona,
but around 60 a. C. around, he moved to
Rome, where he died.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
When they ask me why:
I feel hate and love,
I answer :: I don't
know.
But this is what I feel inside
and that makes me sick
and be so scared.
But to the world I want to shout:
love, love dear,
do with me what you want
but I tenderly implore you:
Give me TREGUE OR PEACE.
What will I ever be able to
do
if ever stronger
you make me spin like a top,
until you became
my Sole Mistress.?
