I met a successful sad man
Life lessons are all around us
Sometimes disguised as success
Other times hidden inside the blanket of sorrow
It is easy to dream about success and achievements
But it is not uncommon to not know exactly what success is
In our rush to be first on the doorstep of success
We never stop and ask ourselves this difficult question - who am I?
Today, I met a successful sad man
In his sadness, he taught me a crucial life lesson
Success is not the pursuit and conquering of achievements
Success is the pursuit of clarity or awareness
There is no success without the knowledge of the self
Our inner being is an ocean of mystery full of jewels
To be truly successful, one has to journey into the unknown
Pass through one's fears, completely understand one's limitless potential
Then go through the gates of darkness
And be the light that illuminates everything
It is inside the tunnel of hope where you will meet yourself face to face
You will know that success is the beginning and end of hope
You will understand that what you are pursuing is you
You're already successful
In your nakedness, you have an abundant well of living waters
In your aloneness, you have conquered all your fears
In your courage, you have come face to face with all your enemies
In your kindness, you have accepted who you are
In your humility, you're one with nature
In your compassion, you're the healer of Souls
In your beauty, you're the mirror of the Spirit
In you, all of existence is manifested
You're the master of both success and sadness
You're like that successful sad man
You don't know who you are
