Why
With all the walls between us
broken
Why do we stand far apart
from each other?
Why do we cling to our tribal
lines?
Why do we call each other
names?
Why do we keep going for the
jugular?
Suffocating each other with
our superficial philosophies
Why do we fight?
These atrocious wars will
only bring pain to our hearts
The arrows from our tongues
are filled with toxins
Why do we stab each other on
the back?
Why? Why? Why?
Our children are learning to
play together
Yet we hold each other's
throat with so much hatred in our eyes
Why do we want to kill each
other?
Can we afford this war?
Why can't we do the maths?
It doesn't add up
We have to come together
We have to talk
It is still possible to build
humanity together
Instead of bringing
homelessness and hopelessness
Let's build hope, peace and
Love
