A beautiful sad life
In my consultations with Silence
I have openly discussed the issue of human suffering
Undressing all its rigid ligaments and its brittle
bones
To make my point clear, I have undressed the elephant
in the room
Inequality, injustice, prejudice, tribalism, racism
and xenophobia
To beg Silence to respond, and address you through
the poetic spirit
I availed my inner being as an altar for the
voiceless and the vulnerable
Life is like a sad poem, it is real and full of
sorrow
Life is like a happy poem, it's cheerful and full of
excitement
A beautiful sad life is not uncommon
It afflicts both the poor and rich
Educated and uneducated
It is like cancer on the flesh of the human soul
With no remedy and no antidote
It is evasive and malignant
Wrapping around the faceless face of the human spirit
With its tentacles, injecting a sense of depravity,
loneliness and dejection
A beautiful sad life is not a normal phenomenon
Life was meant to be happy and cheerful
But the open casket of our materialistic mindsets
Throws a stench into the nose of life
Opening a door to the unrealistic reality of despair
and suffering
Human beings are not meant to live in isolation
We are a community, a network of social beings
There is no room for individualistic tendencies
Not even greed and selfishness are allowed
But wickedness has found its way into the house of
humanity
Pitting Fathers against sons and Mothers against
daughters
This is the root of all sadness
Let's hold hands and pave a beautiful life for all
Let's eradicate the mindset of exploitation,
corruption and manipulation
Let the sacred Light illuminate our mental and
spiritual landscapes
So that we can walk together into a bright future
