Global Poetry
In our little corners
Bound by our domestic shackles
Local economics and political entanglements
Cultural practices and religious ideologies
Racial and tribal constraints and constructions
Cosmopolitan identities and subcultures
Village attitudes and monologues
We, the global Poets, rose to the summit of humanity
and found our true purpose
Not bothered by the many differences in our mental
faculties, hands and neighborhoods
We climbed to the mountaintop of our common
inheritance - Our Oneness
We are focused on the substance of our being
And our collective consciousness
Here, we found our truest source of happiness, hope,
love and despair
Global Poetry is the harmonious flow of the essence
of humanity
It is an oasis in the desert, nourishing multitudes
Both in sadness and joy, humanity is bound together
Even when tyrants terrorize some of us
And others wallow in the abundant riches
While others suffer the debilitating effects of poor
economic and political development
We stand (& sit) together inside the house of
global Poetry
Not subjects to our man-made opulence or abject
poverty and other vulnerabilities
Not bothered by our neighborhood troubles and crime
infested streets
Or sometimes shining white picket fences
The global Poet listens to the melodies of humanity
Humanity's torn melodies of sorrow, brokenheartedness
and utter despair flow straight into our hearts
Humanity's melodies of joy, peace, happiness, hope
and Love are funneled into our hearts
Global Poetry is the home of our collective
consciousness
And the global Poet is busy cleansing and polishing
the substance of (our) being
Praying for the dissolution of our blindness
And the illumination of the Divine purpose in our
hearts and lives
Bringing together a diverse group of people (both
rich & poor) under one roof of humanity
Global Poetry has fallen in love with Love
